Looking for milsurp rifle with smooth (bolt, or not) action

The Swedish Mauser! I had forgotten about it. 6.5 bullets are more readily available, so if the action is at least comparable to the G98 I used this weekend then this is probably a front runner. Plus if I get a Ljungman later I'll already have the loads built up for it.

NO NO NO NO. DO NOT USE M96 LOADS IN A LJUNGMAN, YOU ARE ASKING FOR A DESTROYED RIFLE.

I own both and the gas system of the AG-42 requires special considerations when reloading. Only certain powders are safe to use.

Because Varget falls on the slow side of correct burn rate.

Slower burning powders such as 4350 and RL-22 will produce dangerous conditions in a Ljungman.

Also if you haven't tried Reloader 22 in your M96 yet you're missing out. It's easily the best powder I use for the caliber. AG-42 I default to 4064.

Krag. It's not even a question.
Also, Lee Enfield, Argentine Mauser have buttery slick actions.
Mosins have very rough actions in comparison.

The smoothest bolt gun I have is an 1898 Springfield in 30-40 Krag. I have only come across one bolt gun that even comes close, and it is not a milsurp (It was a very, very nice Bergara in 6.5 CM).
