Low price optics

I finally had a chance to get this low priced optic mounted. It’s on a Savage .17WSM. Out of the box it seems fine, no issues. The AO dials in to a crisp clear focus up to 40x. If I can get my house painting chores wrapped up I will try it out at the range this week. Then we will see if it holds zero, tracks correctly, etc.

I had to put off going out to the range for a while but I finally dialed this scope in. As others have said, an inexpensive scope comes with its issues but for my purposes I’m content. The image is in focus crisp & sharp up to full magnification, although the colors start to wash out around 30x up to 40x. The tracking is okay, no problems, and I can finally pinpoint my crosshairs anywhere on a 1” square at 100 yards and “aim small” and see the 17 caliber holes without a spotting scope. I absolutely wouldn’t put this on a nicer rifle but it does what I want at a price I like.

on something like a .22, any cheapo like a Barska will work. You might consider the temps too cause the cheapos fog up quick. really with a .22 never have understood the need for a scope and I am 70.
