Yes, I have shot a G30, G30SF, own G21s from (3) generations, FNP .45, and own several 1911s from several differing companies in .45 caliber. ...and of course still own the G36 and stand by my original comment about it.
You say ..." if your pistol has too much recoil, you simply need to switch to a smaller caliber." Really?
Could it be a shooter's grip adjustment may be needed? Could it be the RSA is worn out, or the last owner put in the wrong RSA, or the last owner just plain installed it incorrectly? Shoot, the factory may have put in the wrong RSA!
You cannot say the G30 has the lowest recoil of any other pistol in that category as you don't know what's been done to it, as it sits with another owner 1500-2000 miles away! Why make blanket statements as such, to infer somebody's only recourse is to make a caliber switch!? :banghead:
To the OP: put the Glock 2 stage RSA back into your G30. Save the EFK rsa for reference.

The G36 has more recoil than the G30. I'm not sure the guy recommending the G36 has ever shot a G30. You are looking for something approx the same size as the G30 so the FNP45, G21 and the P220 are out of the discussion. I guess some folks did not read the OP. The Glock30 has about the least amount of recoil of any in it's size category. If your pistol has too much recoil, you simply need to switch to a smaller caliber.
