Magnetospeed on 686+ ?

Anybody have any experience clamping a V3 onto a 686 ? TIA
Its my first handload pistol cartridge & need to know fps,
Have been loading rifle handloads from 223 to 8mm for several years & love it.
( 686+6" inbound.. )

I tried mounting mine on my 8 3/8ths inch Pre Model 27 and it worked poorly.

I might have gotten one round to read across the bayo/sky screen.

I have seen pictures of people who have mounted them on revolvers so it appears that it can be done but I had no luck using mine on a revolver (or lever gun for that matter).

Thanks Dok, I'm thinking about building up a semi-wrap "C" structure of some sort to tighten the strap around it.
Didn't want to re-invent this wheel !!
Will report back good/bad results..

I stuck my v3 on my super Blackhawk and had no issues.
