I've got a new Kidd rifle on the way with a Magpul X-22 Hunter stock.

I'll be putting my Harris bipod on the front from time to time and I'm curious how other people are doing it.

I could drill through one of the dimples on the front of the stock that are provided for that purpose but the idea of doing that to my new $1300 rifle as soon as I get it isn't all that appealing.

I was thinking about getting one of Magpul's M-LOK bipod adapters but I'm not sure how well that would work. It seems like when the bipod's on there it wouldn't snug up against the stock like it would with a regular stud.

I briefly considered just picking up one of Magpul's M-LOK bipods but it looks like to put them on and take them off you have to unscrew them from the mlok slots. The Harris on the swivel stud seems quicker and easier.

Anybody else out there using this stock with a bipod? What's your preferred mounting method?

Try a Magpul bipod or at least get your hands on one. I have one on a Kidd rifle with a Titan stock. I mounted a rail and its easy enough to take off.
The adjustment for the cant height and deployment or folding of the legs on the Magpul is easy and slick. The Magpul won't bite you.

I chose to mount a stud, but a short rail piece would work just as well. Depends what kind of attach system your bipod has. I have several bipods - rail, stud, and other mounts, so for this rifle stud was strictly a 50/50 choice. Maybe it was because I already had one in the rifle parts bin.
