I have a Rem 700 and I use an Atlas Bipod with a Swivel stud connection. (Hooks right on to the stud that is used for a rifle sling)..This is OK for my HB 223 because of low recoil.. But I am not sure about using it on my HB Rem 700 due to the torque it might put on the stud with the more recoil.. So what do I use mount a bipod to a wooden stock ??

Is there some type of QD pickitanny rail that will mount to the stud that will even out the pressure put on the stud that will enable me to then attach a bipod with a pickitanny mount ??

Shouldn't be a problem. The swivel studs are designed to take quite a bit of abuse and load/jerking from the sling. never have had any issues on any of my wooden stocks using bipods.

I have an atlas bipod and on all of my rifles that only have a sling stud I mount one of these on the sling stud. It still maintains the use of a sling as it has a stud on the end of the picatinny rail. I have bought 3 of them now and love them, the also would provide more support to the sling stud as it widens the base that the force would act on.
