Free at last in PA!
So I was out escaping a visit from the in-laws at PGC today. When there I am half-way through my first round with the 28ga when I realized I should have gone out shooting more then I have. I didn't get back in a groove with the 28ga until I was on my last box. I then switched off to my 20ga I had brought with me and realized I should have started off with it. After shooting 28ga horribly 20ga sure is a lot more forgiving! The only other problem I had after that was the front bead falling off the 20ga for the second time and the teenager who couldn't count (yes myself and another tried to teach him the box trick) and always wanted to start the squad off.

I think I've shot with that teen.....

I can go a while between shooting rifles and not embarass myself badly. With handguns and shotguns I cannot go as long. Also, if I switch between shotguns things take a while to sort themselves out.

Pick one shotgun and stay with it for a while. I know that's not as much fun as playing with all your toys, but it will pay off.

I know I should stick with just one Dave but when I go to pull out just one the others start giving me these puppy dog faces and stories about how lonely it is in the safe. I have a poor H&R single shot that I haven't shot since I moved in to MD about 4 years ago!

I know, I know, but we have to be strong!

Seriously, pick one and shoot just it for a month. Switch if you want, but chances are there's one that works better for you. Shoot that one lots.

I'll try to make it to PGC this weekend, probably Sunday. Feel free to join me.
