March Scopes from Japan?

Hello all,


So I’ve recently heard of a scope brand I’ve never heard of before and I looked online they carry a hefty price tag so My Question is are they a Good Brand Specifically in regards to Competition shooting ie 600-1000 yard f class or maybe Benchrest shooting?

Yes to all of the above. I had a 10X60 on my match rifle. The image was crystal clear and the tracking was perfect and repeatable. Mine had the fine crosshairs and 1/8th inch clicks.

Clearest, sharpest scope I have ever looked through. Some of their reticles are strange, or at least over my head.

The new majesta is reported to be on another level( north of 4k) however the 3k 8-80 power I tried out ( briefly) was a little darker at high magnification than I liked, similar to my vortex Golden Eagle with a street price of $1200.
My 2k 15-55 Nightforce Competition on the other hand is clear and bright at full power ..
All are great scopes it’s just a matter of the individual preference.

The thought of an 80X rifle scope just boggles my mind.
What is the exit pupil? Figuring objective lens diameter ÷ power = 0.7mm. Is that right?
Does anybody shoot with it that high?

The guys I used to rub elbows with when I shot benchrest indicate they like them. But ya, hefty price tags. Turk Takano was very instrumental in their development.

Yes, I know a couple fella’s that run them at full power.
Benchrest shooters do not seem to place a high value in exit pupil.

I run my 10X60 on 60X at 600 yards unless the mirage was too bad.

As far as optical clarity they make about the best in the business and not just scopes either some medical equipment also uses Japanese optics for some high precision work.

I’ll also use all of my 50x magnification on my Kahles but only when condition allow it. That’s usually early before the ground starts warming up and mirage gets bad. On sunny humid days I’m running it ~30-35X more often than not
