Messed up situation in Washington State.

I saw it coming years ago and got out of the state. I grew up in western WA and it WAS a great place to live. Of course now you can't walk around Seattle safely either.... I wish I didn't leave so many friends behind, but many are still working and kind of trapped...

It’s going downhill exponentially, nothing anybody have not already said. I’m planning my exit, and it might come sooner than later. But, might have to live in Boston for a bit… but they already banned everything there already. Will get me closer to my parents and family. West Coast is lost, PNW has been taken!

Bad law. Illegal from it's first word to it's last. Hard to believe it made it this far.

I just realized today that it will ban match pistols that use a muzzle brake. I think the next illogical step for the West siders is to confiscate all of these horrific killing machines. People will say they will never do that, but I never thought I would see a muzzle brake on a target pistol declared illegal, either.

Every shooting in a school or other vulnerable place gives them more momentum, more sympathy. We are viewed as a bunch of right wing extremists, all of us hell bent on insurrection and killing. It was basically an urban vs. rural argument, with people from the cities seeing guns as the ultimate evil, and people from the country wondering what all the fuss is about. It's gradually turning more into a left vs. right conflict, and that brings left leaning country folk onto the side of banning something every time a gun is involved in any crime.I sit and read what's going on in other states, and I wonder how long it will be until it gets here in WV.Right now our state government is very good to our gun owners. Our governor has removed the sales tax from guns and ammunition and signed permitless carry into law. Can't complain about any of that, and it looks good for the near future, but it can change with just a few votes,as it did in Virginia.Thankfully there are no terrible shootings, crime is basically nonexistent and we all respect each other and stand beside each other.I live about 2 hours drive from DC,and I have never been there.I went to Baltimore once to take a friend to Johns Hopkins and I remember what it was like when we got lost and wound up in a bad part of that hellhole.I'm so glad that a few miles of interstate is still enough to keep that Plague at bay, even though it gets closer as time passes.I may not live long enough to see what it will be like when the sewers overflow into my home.I actually hope I don't.But with sanity becoming more endangered, every free day is a blessing.Across the line into Western Maryland, the rules are made by the city dwellers and the rural dwellers have to live by them. That's what is so bad for all of us.People in the cities have been programmed to see things in a different way.Do away with the guns and there won't be any more killings they think.Common sense has done like a lot of people and left the cities.
