Can’t call them, Midway phone customer service is down right now. Only email or online chat. Ordered some 10/22 upgrade parts and a few extra magazines. Ordered on the 7th they shipped on the 8th. Was supposed to be delivered by the 12th, but hasn’t shown up yet. UPS still hasn’t updated the date. I spoke with them on the 15th through chat, they told me if it didn’t show up by today, let them know and they would reship.

I ordered on June 8 and Midway shipped it out the same day. I received it June 16. The reason it took that long is because they used UPS Mail Innovations which is a service where UPS delivers it to the US Postal Service for the final delivery. That process takes longer, but is cheaper. For my transaction, the shipping was "free."

I have been using Midway since the early 80s, they get it right 99.9% of the time, and when they don't they fix it. Brownells is another great place to shop, and they sent me a broken piece of equipment a few weeks ago, but they made it right with no fuss and very little effort on my part. Print return label, box up, ship it to them. New one was on the way before they got the old one back.

Stuff happens, the good companies always make it right.

Not bashing Midway because I am never in a rush for what I order ...but......

I ordered a few things June 7th or so and got an email notice that it had shipped June 8th. Projected delivery was June 12th. As of the evening of Monday June 15th I received nothing

So I checked the tracking number and it seems that it was shipped UPS and at some point they turned it over to the USPS. The online inquiry that I made about its status basically said we cannot help you on the whereabouts of your order.

It showed up in my mailbox last night June 18th. Not good. But it is the Post Office....I still might call them to suggest that they might change something to get orders delivered quicker.

That is a common problem and the easiest fix is to add a single box of ammo to your order. The package will then stay with UPS all the way to your door.

Yep UPS absolutely screwed up two deliveries from Midway in the last two months. The packages got to within 10 miles of me and then were returned to sender for no reason.

Over the last month Midway has shipped several of my orders within 24 hours. They are back up to full speed.
Many years ago I ordered from Midway, and they returned to sender after getting to my door. They didn't knock, they left a label saying "unable to deliver will be returned to sender", with a number to call. UPS then told me I could pick it up at their Redmond WA distribution hub by the end of the business day, 30 miles away. Those from the area know how much fun that drive is. When I got there, UPS told me that Midway has some very strange contract rules for delivery. In this case, my address was similar but not identical to my old address, and that was a "red flag" and Midway required the delivery not be made. They never mention this in the order process, but I confirmed it was at the time their policy.
Years later, and 80 miles away, something similar happened. I ordered some parkerizing acid, and UPS made one attemp to deliver. They left a note saying it was returned to sender becaue they cannot deliver hazmat to apartments, and Midway does not allow Hazmat to be picked up at a hub. Midway also will not reroute a shipment if they send it to the wrong place. I have them my address, checked the ship to billing address, and the email confirmation listed an address 20 miles away. Called them, they told me I could cancel the order and pay a $12 charge, or hope the person who received the package would be ethical enough to return it to the sender where I could get a refund. If they kept it, I would still be charged. This was over their mistake, and resulted in my not ordering from them for 5 years.
What I am getting at, Midway has a screwed up shipping arrangement with UPS, don't discount people experiencing unexplained things. Both UPS, and Midway are usually willing to explain why something happened.

That delay is always on the UPS side. USPS can't deliver it till they receive it. Once it's received it's delivered in 1-2 days....unless UPS screwed up.

I've had orders from Midway shipped USPS that arrived in two days, I've had orders shipped UPS that arrived in three. If it goes SurePost then it's more like 10 days. When Midway is allowed to pick the carrier they are going to go with the cheapest. Bad for the bottom line if they don't.

UPS Mail Innovations stinks, not just from Midway. It is the worst way to get anything. The hangup always seems to be the hand off from UPS to USPS. I've had packages sit at the post office for days waiting to be "accepted". Maybe the time period that USPS has to get the package only starts to run upon "acceptance"?

I wish UPS Mail Innovations would go away.

I've had good service from Midway, except for packages sent UPS Mail Innovations. Midway ships it quickly and then it's a guessing game when it will arrive. I'm sure many of us are spoiled by Amazon.

I agree 100%. It definitely saves a ton of frustration to order a $5 box of 22lr so the package won’t get handed off to USPS.

i placed an order today for a red dot and got an eta for delivery of the 25th. not bad considering the weekend is two days of that.

The last thing I ordered from them was my Lee APP, and it was shipped the next day. It didn't arrive till a week later due to UPS surepost which has to be the slowest way to ship anything.

I don't hold that against Midway though as I could always opt for faster shipping if I wanted to pay more for the service.

I’ve made two orders through midway over the last month. One had ammunition and the other did not but both shipped the day after the order and were on my porch two days later. I believe they are in Missouri which makes my Tennessee location close to them though.

I'm a former postal worker. The USPS doesn't warehouse stuff. It hits the dock and it's in the system. That "acceptance" delay is on the UPS end. They handle it that way so it looks like the USPS is the hangup.

At the office I worked in UPS dropped that stuff off in the afternoon and we delivered it the next day.

The delivery that I received today from Midway was "received" by my local post office on 6/18/20 and "accepted" on 6/20/20. This information is from the USPS Informed Delivery app. How can UPS keep USPS from accepting a package that isn't in their (UPS') hands any longer? The UPS app said that it was transferred to the USPS on 6/18, USPS says they "received" it on 6/18, but they did not "accept" the package until two days later. Maybe my local post office isn't as efficient as the one where you worked? Maybe "accepted" means in a carriers hands? The day they "accepted" the package was the same day it was delivered.

Anyway, I ordered from Midway on 6/16 and received the item on 6/20.

ordered vortex red dot on the 19th, received today (25th). that included two weekend days.
