I'm always up for visiting a new gun shop...

I remember someone mentioned that a gun shop I'd never visited had changed locations... but I can't find it or remember the name. It was somewhere in the west, maybe around hwy 7 or hwy 3 (Excelsior) west of 494.

t wasn''t the Frontiersman (yaay!) or the Outdoorsman (eh).

If anyone knows of it, or another friendly shop on my side of town, speak up! :)

Gun Stop is a great shop.

FWIW there is a big MWCA gun show at the State Fairgrounds colisium this weekend.

Yup, I'm pretty sure you're thinking of GunStop, which used to be in Excelsior. It's now west of Hopkins in Minnetonka in a strip mall.

Gunstop is a great gun store and a great reloading store. It is off of Excelsior Blvd by the Driskell's (sp?) grocery store. PM me if you are going to head out there sometime, it would be neat to meet another HighRoader.

It is the Gunstop. They just moved into the stripmall by Driskill's Grocery. They have no sign yet, just an "Open" neon sign.

The place is literally packed with guns -- two in each rack and gun parts piled up on the floor. They moved from a larger location and the owner says he still has a bunch of guns in storage. I've been there twice and both times it's been packed with happy shooters.:)

I love the Gun Stop!!

Wow! Just stopped in yesterday for the first time.

Looks like they're not quite settled in yet -- still a lot of boxes piled in the corners.

They have a HUGE number of long guns and a pretty good selection of pistols as well. In fact, there are so many gun racks in the place that there's hardly room to stand!

And the prices looked darned good.

My overwhelming impression is, "So THIS is what a gun store is supposed to be like!"

The guys were friendly and attentive, joking around with me along with the shop regulars. While I was there, their pizza delivery arrived, and darned if they didn't invite me and the other customers to have a slice or two!

No one told me I was carrying the wrong caliber, the wrong ammo, the wrong make or model. No B.S. stories, just guys who liked where they were and what they were doing.

I will be back!

Matt

P.S. Is there a law that each gun shop must have at least one dog?
