modern pistol/rifle combination with semi automatics and more performance?

well I have a current setup with a 9mm AR15 and a XDM9 so I have ammo interchangeability with those but it's not the best when hunting comes to mind unless you are just after hogs or something. I have also been thinking about getting an old burnt out enfield and converting it to 45ACP so I would have a XDM45 compact and an enfield that both use the same ammo and the neat thing is that the enfield would take unmodified 1911 mags so if I ever bought one of them I could just load up a number of mags and use them for each respective gun as the need arose.

aah, ok, so without significant beefing up, 10mm is about the limit at 37,500PSI, but more like the 36,000 common with most handgun cartridges

just for the sake of modeling this cartridge in 3D... could anyone tell me the length of individual .308 caliber bullets, and their corresponding weights for bullets under 140 grains?

doesnt matter what the P90 has.. 5.7x28mm is a fairly underpowered cartridge.. less energy than a 9mm, blowback isnt a problem for that

Suitability for blowback action isn't simply a matter of overall power. Read Chinn's The Machinegun, available for free download here. It's a (somewhat complex) function of how thick the case head is, how much pressure it can support over a given unsupported area, and the rate at which pressure in the breech drops off.
