I think many people are hoarding and reselling. Dealing in guns requires licensing (cost), risk, and very low profit margin, a few bucks on most guns. Guns are traced through serial numbers. Dealing in ammo and necessary accessories like magazines is simple. Can be shipped to your door. Huge profit margins. No licensing. Huge demand. Doesn't take long for people to figure this out, hoard, and resell.
Personally, I believe that S did H the F when it comes to gun owners. We have endured a roller coaster of serious fluctuations in prices and availability of guns, mags, ammo, and accessories, with no end in sight.
During, and even after the AWB expired, I wanted to ensure I never got caught short. I took to heart the saying buy cheap and stack deep.
