This ammo evaluation was done with one 91/30 MN, a sandbag as a rest, and about 1/4 mile of trigger creep while firing at a 50 meter target. Ammo tested was russian 7N1 sniper, Hungarian light ball, bulgarian heavy ball, czech silver tip, yugo heavy ball, wolf gold 180grn. Results may vary per rifle, but maybe this will give a good indication of what is better out there when ammo shopping. There isn't much variety for commercial ammo, but plenty of different surplus. The 7N1, wolf gold, hungarian, and czech seemed to shoot best. However, the czech made it near impossible to cycle the bolt after each shot.
