most dubious excuse for buying a new firearm

My cleaning kit came with a .45 brush, and I didn't have anything to use it on.

Because I want it and I can buy It. Don't need any excuses, got a 458 Win mag and a 375 H&H. Here in E Texas I surely do not need them and it's extremely doubtful that I shall every hunt where they are conisdered proper. I suppose a "enraged" bull could get loose from one of the local farms, but they are getting more scarce, and my 45-70 would be ok there to protect house and wife.

Main thing is that the wife does not care, she says I earn money and if I get enjoyment that way, do it, so I do.

Well, I figure the chinese are gonna invade one of these days, so I need a sniper/AR combo.

What gun? I don't have any guns. Move it along. Nothing to see here.:neener:

Yes since you ask this hat is tin foil.

Typical situation...

her: "why do you need that one?"
me: "cause I don't have that one"
her: "yes you do you are carrying it right now"
me:" yes but it's not THAT one"
her:".......Your lack of logic defeats my ability to think clearly you win":scrutiny:

Me: "I'm going to have to buy a new gun with a scope because my eyes are getting so bad that I can't get a good sight picture on my old gun with the iron sights...."

She: "Can't you just put a telescope on your old gun"?

Me: "Oh no, the instruction manual states that any modifications will void the warranty."

Heard this one the other day in the shop...."I need a new gun...the police took the one I had!" :rolleyes"

Girlfriend: "I thought you had that one."

Me: "I do, but it doesn't have night sights."

Girlfriend: "Can't you just have a gunsmith install them on the on you already have?"

Me: "Yes, but the sights may not be zeroed properly. This way they come zeroed straight from the factory."

:what:All those voices in my head, they finally calmed down now that I have realized they were guns telling me to buy them....:what:

A bull just ripped my house apart, I don't want to let that happen again.

KILLINGLY, Connecticut (AP) -- An escaped and raging bull attacked a neighbor's home, tearing off siding, ripping down part of a fence and damaging a car.

Wayne Johnson said he found the bull in his yard Friday morning. It had wandered in from a nearby farm.

While he watched, the bull repeatedly charged his house, tore off clapboards, flipped a picnic table, rammed his car and tore down part of the fence around his swimming pool, he said.

"He was crazy," Johnson said. "The thing was ripping my house apart."

Johnson called police, who called the state Department of Agriculture. They suggested finding the farmer who owns the animal.

Eventually, a neighbor was able to lure the bull away with a bag of grain, and led the animal back to its pasture.

Johnson said he's planning to talk to the bull's owner about getting his house repaired. He said he has no idea what caused the bull to become so aggressive.

"My house isn't red," he joked. "It's grayish blue."
