Most impractical gun you own?

If I had my way it would be a FN PS90, and a FiveseveN.
Unfortunately, I'm not rich :-/

I have the PS90, but I am not rich enough to buy a Five Seven on top of that :p

Wildey in .45 Win mag with a 10 inch barrel.
The grip is as big as a large size toothpaste tube box, and the thing likes to beat itself to death.
It does attract a lot of attention at the range though...

HK P9S .45 Target model. All the magazine lips will crack and they are made of unobtanium. A safe queen if I've ever seen one.

I have a replica Colt Navy (1851?) that has been in a drawer, in a closet, garage... It was given to me twenty years ago and I have never fired it. I just cannot find the time or spare $$ to get all the crap necessary to shoot this thing. Heeeeyyyyy...anyone want to buy a...oh never mind.

Oh and my Uberti SAA clone in .45 Colt. It's pretty and fun to shoot but I can't hit anything with it (never could hit anything with a Colt type revolver) and I don't shoot CASS.

A Thompson-Center "Seneca" .36 cal muzzle loader. I have never fired it. Too small for deer hunting. I keep saying I'm going to learn to shoot it and take it squirrel hunting. Maybe I'll just take it and walk in the woods with it one day. Who cares about kiling a squirrel really?

CZ-52. Bought it primarily because of the odd locking system. It's the most unergonomic pistol I've handled--Grip feels like a deck of cards, stiff single-action trigger, and oddball ammo.

1895 Nagant revolver.Odd caliber, DA trigger pull requires a truck with a winch, firing pin on the hammer, ugly, etc.Still a fun and neat gun, especially for $80.
Or, possibly my old Iver Johnson, 2nd Model, top break .38 (not special). It's pretty pitted, cylinder is out of timing, latch is fairly worn out, and it aint worth much at all.I cleaned it up and it now sits on the wall in a display cae I made for it, with a very old, empty box of Winchester ammo and 2 rounds.Neat to look at though.

H&R "American Double Action" (DA only), nickel plated, 3" bbl, in .38 S&W caliber. The story goes my grandad carried it in France during WW I.

I think there is a discrepancy between the bullet diameters of the .38 S&W they were selling then and what you get now. The grooves and lands of the old gun's barrel are in perfect shape but nobody who shoots the old gun can hit within 6" of their aiming point at short ranges like 10 yds. However, it might have something to do with the triggle pull, feels like it's about 25 lbs.

It must have been alright for "gedda" (sp?- Czech for "grandpa"). He came back. Pretty interesting, him basically fighting against the country of his birth (Austro-Hungarian empire).

One day, when nobody's looking, I might use a Mauser action to make a rifle I actually want to shoot.

Blasphemy! Youre just making a rifle a disgruntled collector is going to covert back to military config in 20 years. (I want to kill whoever was sporterzing the G43s) I only like military arms. Civilian arms are sucky.

/I hate sporterized weapons.

That said, I hate my Ruger Redhawk. Big, stupid and I dont even keep it in my list of guns.

1895 Nagant revolver.Odd caliber, DA trigger pull requires a truck with a winch, firing pin on the hammer, ugly, etc.Still a fun and neat gun, especially for $80.

I hear you there, it was a little tough getting that ammo for my Nagant. I paid 95 for mine, and it is by far the cheapest WW2 handgun to own. I also kid my brother, telling him in a **** hits the fan situation with anarchy and riots outside, he gets to use the Nagant :p

Ruger super blackhawk 7.5".

Its a fun to shoot, really cool looking, shiny, powerful, but extremely impractical tool. Once the cylinder is empty, your done. There is no "fast" reload for a pistol like that.

It is still my favorite handgun that I own:neener:

An original Kentucky Rifle with powder horn. Tend to keep it unfired and preserved even though it works just as well as when it was made.

Well, I have 3 impractical guns. They are impractical because they are safe queens.

1 - Glock 17 20th Anniversary Gun number 103 of 2006 made.
2 - Kimber Series 1 Customs. I have 2 of them, consecutive serial numbers. They are also 25th Anniversary guns, special grips etc...
