"the Democrats flock in there by the dozens when their checks come in at the first of the month to buy $150 to $200 .380 & 9mm autos"
First, "Democrat" isn't a substitute pejorative that fools anyone
Second, since a NICS check is run, none of those folks show as prohibited persons (not a guarantee, but does deter some, and block others)
Third, those folks are more likely to be in dire need of a firearm than yourself
Fourth, gang bangers are too cheap to spend money at gunstores, when stealing them is free and a matter of course in their nightly ritual
JPG19 says it best, when regarding guns in high-crime areas
"This is just incredible. I'm sorry to hear it, Mike. This is a perfect example, and therefore explanation, of why I take anti-gunners so personally. They are directly effecting people's lives in an incredibly negative way and in mind my are somewhat liable for the crimes that go unstopped due to the victims' inability to arm themselves. Yet to them, none of this ever crosses their minds. I think they sit back on their high horse and look at us rednecks with guns and only half a brain and think that they are actually helping. One look at your situation makes it painfully clear just how dangerous and what a serious threat an anti-2A person is. This needs to not be just another polite conversation amongst different political parties; this is life or death and needs to be treated as so. Imagine the anger you would feel if you fell victim to a crime and weren't able to defend yourself or your family because your capability to do so was stripped from you. Take that pictured anger and inject it directly into your discussions and activism in defending the Second Amendment."
rant aside...
Couldn't a flap holster made of clear vinyl skirt the "concealment" nonsense? It'd be silly looking, sweaty, but great in the rain!
Thanks for the heads up on that goofy interpretation, that's some elastic judgment right there. It just goes to show "if it isn't defined (open carry) it isn't protected" which means we have to be very careful in ensuring laws are
never expansive beyond their original intent. Especially on an issue like gun carry where certain classes of people demand unequal treatment for other classes of people, but the law is forced to be impartial --there is tremendous pressure to skirt or flex the law in these cases.
