Won't be easy with what the left elected here with the help of outside meddlers.
If you're talking about Texas, hopefully I'll be out of here once and for all before that happens.
I would just like to be able to ride a motorcycle here, and have no concerns about what the wind is doing to my clothing as it concerns what is on my belt. That way, there would be no question as to if I am in violation of the law.
I logged close to 75,000 miles on two wheels for the 3 years I lived in Florida carrying a gun and never had an issue.

So, whereas, on the one hand -- the government is more-or-less controlled, behind the scenes, by malicious forces at the levers of power, doing their utmost to install every form of tyranny... on the other hand -- half the people out there are effing stupid and nuts, or just scumbags who I'd prefer NOT be armed.

The founding fathers wrestled with the same issue. The tyranny of the few vs. the tyranny of the majority.

I did a career in law enforcement down here in south Florida (1973-1995...) when, at times, it was a thrill a minute... During my era you rarely ever encountered anyone carrying concealed legally at all - and no one, I repeat no one ever carrying openly unless it was the prelude to an "armed encounter" where guns were going to be used if the slightest provocation occurred... and almost everyone involved were active felons (or wannabes - young'uns as likely to shoot themselves as anyone else....)

That said, I was very pleased to see the armed citizen movement able to obtain the ability to carry concealed, and hope it is never revoked. Yes there have been a tiny number of crimes involving licensed carry - but far, far less than the number predicted all those years ago.... That said, I would never want to see open carry become legal (unless actively engaged in hunting activities...). For those that advocate "open carry", stop and consider for a moment what that would mean in urban areas -particularly in bad urban areas - where there's trouble enough most nights....

I defected from NJ in 1989 and as soon as I found out about the CCW law I got my butt out and got a permit. 1991 and started carrying religiously. I'd certainly appreciate Constitutional Carry for Floridians. Are you listening Ron DeSantis!
