Members that Concealed Carry more than one gun at a time and are not LEO ,what do you carry and why more than one gun?
Where do you carry your car keys, cell phone, pocketknife, etc?two 642s, both carried in front pockets, any season.
commonality and simplicity of operation; commonality of ammunition, grip, sights and holster; access by either hand; capacity is supposed to be the failure of a j-frame, so the fastest reload is a second gun.
My father did that, as a small town cop. A S&W M19 (later a M66) on his duty belt & a M36 in his left hand coat pocket. In the summer the M36 moved to his ankle. The K frame was loaded with Magnum ammo, but all spare ammo was .38 Spl so it would work in either revolver. In the 1980s/early 1990s, when I started reading gun magazines & learning more about tradecraft, I saw a article about how in the "old days", metro detectives or investigators would wear a 5/6 shot "pocket snub" in their winter coat then keep a larger revolver or maybe a 1911/Hi Power pistol in a shoulder rig.
They'd fire the snub, then if needed, draw the larger gun.
If you ever see the action classic; Raiders of the Lost Ark(1981) Indiana Jones(Harrison Ford) uses a DA 6 shot revolver in the "bar gun battle" scene. He shoots all six rounds(.38spl I think), then Jones transitions to a second gun; a Hi Power 9x19mm pistol. As a kid I thought Indiana Jones used a 1911a1 .45acp but it's a Hi-Power. He also pulls it out in a brief scene on the Banta Wind later in the film.

Carrying 2 handguns of the same caliber or action type(DA only, striker, DA/SA) is smart. Even in winter or cold areas.
Low budget film?I'd love to get a back up but its just not in the budget at the moment.
