The design was a total rip off from the Moderators stash of great stuff that you find in the beginning of the threads. I wanted to make mine out of stamped aluminum but I didn't have any. Mostly this is just a bunch of parts from swamp coolers. Folks with refrigerated air won't have a clue what I'm talking about. To keep the roller from "walking" I added a front and rear bearings I took from an old motor. I need more friction to roll the tube so I slid a plastic hose over the rollers. I wanted 1" lead balls but did not want to buy them or purchase a mold so I made one from art grade plaster with 1" steel bearings. One on right is steel. One on left is lead. 6" PVC with thread cap for $30. Motor is shielded in case of leaks. Not for electrical reasoning but for potential heat should the thing seize. Corning screen is expanded metal like you would put in front of a screen door. This solves sizing problems. Where the idea was to use a different size screen to form your BP you end up with all sorts of screen. With expanded metal you simple change the angle of corning. This works really well. I was looking for cannon size and now can manipulate it with ease. Not sure of how efficacious this would be other uses. Met a very friendly source of KNO3 and now produce BP for very close to $3/lb. Shoot! I forgot to take a pic of my charcoaler. I'll add that later. Sorry. Using some variety of willow that grows around here. Easy to build, would suggest you copy this thing.
