S&W 3913. It doesn't get any better than the 39XX series in a compact, reliable, concealeable, good looking, 9mm tack driver. :)

Ditto on the 39xx series.

PM9 & Shield. PM9 is a lot smaller and lighter so gets more carry time.

I too am a fan of small 9mm pistols and own

The following: Kahr PM9, Beretta Nano, Kimber Solo, Walther PPS, Springfield XDsc, Beretta PX4sc, Beretta PX4 compact. Although I carry them all depending upon the season, the four I carry most frequently are the Solo, Nano, PPS, and PM9.

I only owned one 9x19 subcompact. It was DAO Colt with stainless slide alloy frame with six round magazines. It was the only Colt product I have ever owned and probably better then most subcompact 9Para pistols out there. It is seldom seen as only about seven thousand were made before winning lawsuit from Kahr firearms shot down production. Single stack 9x19 pistols or six-shot revolvers do nothing for me.

Sounds like a Colt Pocket Nine.

This is a gun I've always been interested in and wanted one. However, I don't think I would pay $1k for a used one today with limited support for the gun and so many other guns available. Notably the CM/PM9 which is slightly smaller and lighter. The other thing is the pocket nine had a rather heavy poor and poor trigger. I'm not sure what could be done to remedy it. The CM/PM9 has a better trigger. Colt had some neat small guns (pocket nine, Mustang, Pony, etc) but they were produced ahead of the "shall issue" revolution when there wasn't nearly as big a market for them (and the Kahr lawsuit of course w/ respect to the Pocket Nine). IMHO, those guns still compare fairly favorably with much of whats being produced now.

:( :cuss: Wish i could find a shield. Guy today said it might take up to 6 months and i have to pay up front. Oh well guess i'll just have to stick to my j frame this summer. I have a 6906 and love it but in the alabama heat its just not a good summer carry.

My apologies for not responding earlier to your questions, somehow I just overlooked your post.

I've had my Boberg XR9-S about a week or two, and have run approximately 150-175 rounds thru it. It was impeccable for the first hundred rounds or so with Winchester White Box (value pack/cheap stuff) but I had some old American Eagle fmj's laying around and I did have one failure to fire (same round, twice) out of that box, but I believe that to be a defective round. Other than that, absolute reliability.

Best Wishes,

Jesse

So.......the manufacturers are supposed to stop making them and people are supposed to stop buying them because you think they're useless?
