My new 38 special

Wow that's one mighty rare Python! In all my years of going to gunshows, both public and private collectors functions, I have seen just one .38 Special 8" barreled Python and it had a blued finish. This was several years ago and it was LNIB and priced just a little less than what you paid for your nickel plated model. If it were mine I most definitely would: A) get the factory letter, and B) never shoot it.
 
Thanks for all the kind words everyone. When I bought this Python, I was told that it was never fired. Without the box and the cylinder having zero powder burn, I think the round count is low and someone just really cleaned it. Never the less, it will become another safe queen for me. I have 2 other shooter Pythons that I enjoy and two more safe queens.

I will keep an eye out, I think they had an 8" blue Python in .357 for $1799+tax. I just put this one next to my other Colts in the safe. I'm missing a photo of one of my other pythons, because it's still at Colt for repair.

Yes they're Walmart specials, I need to get a better pair one of these days.
