I completed my Ruger 10/22 Takedown project. Got an upper and lower [BX-Trigger], Volquartsen Forward Blow Compensator [for looks], a black laminate stock from Revolution [cut for takedown rifles], and finally got in the Tactical Solutions X-Ring Gen 2 barrel. Let me know what you think!

Very nice! Congrats and enjoy it. Please post pics of how it groups.

BTW,...I'm pretty amazed at how light this rifle is!

Not sure when I will get it out to the range. We have low 90's and high humidity here for the foreseeable future. :-(

Sharp looking!

Just got mine done last month. Couldnt be happier with it!

I like the sights! Used a NECG rear ghost ring set up on mine. Almost went fibre optic like yours.

Curious how that tac sol barrel does! I have one of their numbers on my pistol and I really like it.

Nice mods to your 10/22 Breakdown! Love the look of the new laminated Revolution stock!

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm pretty happy with it. Can't wait to get it out for a shoot. And sorry, Atla,....it won't be in NC any time soon. :-D

bannockburn, yeah, the Revolution stock is very nice. Originally I was going to go with a Olive barrel and a Magpul stock [polymer, of course], but went this way. So much better!

I'm one of those who clicked "like" on your post and I will say it here also that you have one sweet looking 10/22. Keep us posted and you can also give a report on that BX trigger. I've considered one for my 10/22 and a LGS has some in stock for a fair price.

Thanks again for the comments, guys! :)

22250Rem, my brother has one of the BX Triggers on his Ruger and I really like it. I almost like it as well as the Volquartsen trigger in my other 10/22.

I'm gonna brave the heat today and take it to the range [along with a new CZ P-09 Kadet kit I picked up]. Gotta test them and summer has just begun, so chicharrones, I'm gonna go sweat a little. :-D

Just got back from the range. It ran pretty well. I DID have a few FTF. I had a huge problem running it with the BX-25 magazine. It wouldn't cycle any. Started to take out the rounds from the magazine and the problem was with the magazine itself for some of the issues. Pulled a round out and the next one was still down in the mag a bit until I tapped the mag on the table. Not sure what's up with that. But I did have a few FTF and a couple of FTE with regular 10 round mags. Break in period?

The BX Trigger did great. It feels nice and light! :)

As for how it did, it shot very well. I'll post a pic of the last three shots at 25 yards:

The bx25 mag may just need to be used for a bit, or taken apart if you can and cleaned. If it still malfunctions hit up ruger for a replacement.

Looks like your rifle shoots as good as it looks.

I took the BX-25 magazines apart and put a tad bit of G96 on the sliding surfaces and I'll see how it goes next time.

Yeah, it really does shoot as well as it looks! :)

Armored farmer,...not sure yet. I'm been meaning to find a take down case, but have yet to find one. Since I didn't buy a plain takedown, planning on modding it, I didn't get the Ruger case. I'm still searching.

Thank you for your comment of approval, sir! :)
