I had so much fun shooting them today...I want to go again tomarrow! Paint balls on golf tee's at 70 yards.:D Try it, they are super fun to shoot. Small so its a challange to hit, but when you do big splash of paint.

Golf balls on tee's are also fun to hit, I was popping them at 40ish yards with my 1911. The best part is unless you get a direct hit you can reuse them.

40 yards with a 1911?? thats shootin'! does sound like fun, think I'll try my .17 at it

I've always liked using Saltine crackers, since they're small, easy to see, require zero cleanup, and fantastically cheap. :)

targets...

my grandsons also like shooting old decks of playing cards...cheap fun!

Find them at garage sales all the time.

Crackers are a good idea to!

I'm trying to think up small biodegradable targets to shoot. Punching paper is getting kind of old.

I have a walnut tree down in a hollow. I let my nephew get on top of the ridge, so we are shooting down into the other hill on the opposite side, and have a field day shooting the walnuts off the tree with a .22. I have been known to blast a few nuts myself.

Had not thought of the golf ball angle before, but it's a good one -- thanks for sharing the tip. As good as my golf game is these days, I'll have plenty of golf balls to use on the "other range." :)

I've used paintballs as airgun targets before. tennis balls are fun too, and with a .22 they last a while so you can bounce them all over the range. I don't think I'm a good enough shot to hit a golf ball at 40 yards with a pistol.

Bugs, At our range there are lots of cockroaches and crickets crawling around on the rocks on the 100 yard back stop. with a .17 mach 2 and a 4-14 power scope it makes for some cheap fun.
