Bow season starts here in Mississippi tomorrow morning and even though I don’t bow hunt, I generally start to get the itch to get out in the woods this time of year. This is also about the time I drag all the “deer rifles” out of the safe to wipe them down and take stock of ammo inventory. I shoot these rifles year ‘round, but I’ll take them all to the range at least one more time between now and the start of rifle season just to make sure the rifles and the shooter are dialed in.

Anyhow, all that got me thinking it would be fun to see if anyone could correctly name all the cartridges I intend sling in the general direction of mature ungulates this year. Play along and post a similar photo and I’ll try to figure out what y’all are shooting as well. For the sake of uniformity, give your answers from left to right. All in the name of a good time. I’ll be presently surprise if anyone can correctly name all eight. C309BF69-350B-435C-933C-EEE89AD18479.jpeg

This picture is from the last time we played this game.
There's a pile, so they are in dia from largest to smallest and relative performance highest to lowest within a caliber group.
I also screwed up with the AI and Non-Ai in the middle.....

6.5-284 Norma is on my short list. Not real sure why, but I want one. Might settle for a 6.5 PRC, but I’ve been rather nostalgic lately. Lol

And 18 is a 243 Winchester? Has it really been so long since I owned one that I forgot what they look like? Never would have guessed 243. Didn’t think it looked like a 220 Swift, but definitely did not scream 243 Win at me.

I had both at the same time. I ended up keeping the 6.5-284 till a coworker took a liking to it.
Both rounds really want a 3.1-3.2" action, but the PRC does better in a shorter action because it's a little shorter its self.
I'll probably get another one, tho I'm not sure which I'll go with now lol.....I actually still have a pile of loaded prc rounds.

I love these games . Okay to the OP, and I skipped all other posts so no funny business on my end.

From left to right 300 Win Mag, 270Wby, 280Rem, 6.5x55 Sweede (Maybe), 257Bob, 308 Win, 6.5 Cr, and 243 Win.

The cartridge I'm calling a 6.5 Swede and the one to the right of it really threw me for a loop.

A lot of people usually line them up smallest caliber to largest or vice versa,,,, but you couldn't even throw us that bone ... :D

Well darn I was fairly close . Swaped the Swede and the Bob though. 250 Savage never crossed my mind.

Here's mine. I posted this one a year or so ago but I've added and subtracted some since then 20200918_214111.jpg

300wby, 300win, 30-06, 7mm rem, .280, 7-08, 270, .264, 6.5cm, 22-250, 223

Good lord LoonWulf... By brain blew a fuse when I started trying to process your pic.
I had pictures of them broken into 10 each, but I couldn't find those this time.

And yeah sorry, not a great picture. Again when there were two pictures it was easier.

Ok, I dug out the cartridge collection box and found a bunch of them.

I tried to put them by cartridge length by eyeballing them. I may be off on some but I tried.

Here is the first installment of 19:
