i was wondering what everybody does when they are lubing there cases for neck sizing....is it needed to lube the whole case or just the neck?

If you neck size with a full size die set to only neck size, or use a bushing neck size, or regular neck size die you can use mica powder to lube the inside and outside of the case neck. Just dip the case necks in the mica. Or you can use a Q tip to apply regular sizing lube to the inner case neck and just roll the outers on your pad. I like Imperial sizing wax and a Q tip.

If you use a Lee Collet neck size die the is no need to lube.

By the way welcome to the HIGH ROAD!

Hey thanks, i will be using reddings neck bushing. i was not sure if there was enough contact that a person would have to lube the case body. i have read some good reviews on the imperial wax, and i think that might be the way to go. also i also have heard that some people take the expander ball out. any comments on that would be greatly appreciated. thanks

If you get the TiN bushings, there is no need to use a lube at all.:) For the little extra $$$ that they cost, it is well worth it. Yes, remove the expander ball, as that defeats the purpose of getting the correct size bushing. I remove the entire decapping pin\expander, and handle decapping with a separate Universal Decapping die. If you have any out-of-round necks, take care of them with a tapered tool such as a punch or knife sharpener prior to sizing them.
