Hi i need a reloading recipe. i am reloading for a taurus pt/7pro. 9mm. I have 9mm 115 gr.copper plated bullets repacked midwayusa. winchester brass and federal prem. match small primers. Would like to use bullseye powder. My lee manual dosent have a recipe. Any help is appreciated. Thanks ragormas.

I've never loaded plated but I load a .356 LRN 115gr on top of 4.0gr of Bullseye for my PT 24/7 DC. Don't load hot for that gun. On top of it really liking to fling brass it will beat its self apart over time. The only reason I load 4.0 gr is it takes that much to run my Rugers & the brass just barely makes it out at that. The 24/7 runs just fine & burns clean at 3.6gr of Bullseye but you might want some lead way.

4.3 grains of Bullseye under that same bullet shoots like a champ out of my Glock 19 and Beretta 92. 4.6 also shot well, although the group had opened up noticeably.

Could you elaborate more on not loading hot for the 24/7? I have several of them, of which one is a 9mm. I also have a Millenium Pro PT111, the sub compact. I load mostly max loads of slow burning powders for all of those Taurus's, and haven't seen anything out of the ordinary going on. A regular diet of 5.8 to 6.0 grains of Longshot behind a 115 Gold Dot or XTP is the norm for my Taurus. Should I be expecting something in particular to fail?

Thankyou all of you! I appreciate your responses. I sent a message to Ranier and they returned my call saying i should be fine between 4.0 and 4.5 grs. of bullseye. As mentioned above I might start out with 3.8 and work up from there. I heard this taurus has a strong spring and may require more grs. though. I am new here. Thanks again.

Taurus has a much weaker spring. This is why your brass flies so far. You can use less powder & still cycle.

When I'm stating not to run hot loads I'm not bashing Taurus because I own more Taurus firearms then any other manufacturers. That I can count off the top of my head there are 7 in my house. I have 2 of the 24/7's. I have some complaints about Taurus but they have nothing to do with the 24/7 or the recoil springs.
The lighter spring allows the frame to take more betting with hotter loads tho. I started off loading hot myself & liked to see how far I could push it but recently found myself to prefer lighter loads. I lose less brass when it falls at my feet instead of flying 30'. I also have a TCP that the feed ramp is cut past the web on the chambered round & it scares me a bit. A factory load makes a bulged case in it with an occasional popped out bulge at the ramp. I have been experimenting with some Red Dot for this gun & I think I really like what I came up with. Recoil fells like a cap gun. I'm not sure of the decibel but it is quit. It is a real pleasure to shoot & @ 1.2 gr to 1.8 gr MAX it is cheap.

Warning I have no sources that list this load data. It is my own data & my not be safe for you. I have no expertise in developing load data & take no responsibility in anyone useing this data.
