Okay guys here are the guns that I currently have.....

SKS
Browning 300 Rem Ultra Mag with Zeiss Conquest scope
Glock 23
PTR-91
Mosin Nagant
Saiga 12

And for my next purchase the guns that I have been seriously considering is

50 Beowulf from Alexander Arms (I would put a EOTech scope on it)
.500 S&W
10mm Kimber Eclipse

I am looking for something that would be a bit of a novelty gun that would be fun to shoot. As far as fun goes...... for me that means a big bang since I'm a recoil junkie. Cost of ammo is of no concern since I will be reloading. I would like to keep the cost between $1,000 and $2,000. Maybe there are some cool/fun guns that I might be overlooking.

Any suggestions guys?!?!

I forget which thread it was, but a link was posted for a parts kit for a semi-auto Browning 1919A4 parts kit. Sadly they are out of stock, and would certainly need a competant experienced gunsmith to assemble (not something I want to tackle in my garage) but I would qualilfy that as a novelty gun that would be fun to shoot.

You could get the conversion kit as well, and convert your new 1919A4 to the shoulder fired A6 version if you are a glutton for recoil punishment. How unique would you be at the local gun club pimping a Browning 1919A6 belt fed?

BTW, this is my dream, but I'll live vicariously through you since I don't have two grand laying about.

A belt fed 1919.... very interesting!! I have also considered a 44 Automag, but for some reason it does not tickle my pickle quite enough.

Ever since I went to the Knob Creek machine gun show..... I have wanted a .50 BMG so badly, but I have nowhere to shoot it. My range does not allow any .50 cals. The shock waves coming off of those guns with a tank brank are addictive!!!!!! Also, ammo is not too bad considering how large it is.

When I get a 50 cal.... it would absolutely have to be semi-auto, so the bolt-action 50 cal does not appeal to me.

Did you say a 50 Beowulf pistol?!?!?!?! When is this beast supposed to come out? But then again....... I'd be forced to put it up against the .500 S&W and I doubt if it'd have a more of a WOW factor than the .500 S&W. Regardless, it would still be ridiculously cool!

I don't believe there are any plans for a .50 beowulf pistol. Just thought it would be simply awesome if they did.

Funny how two days ago my Buddy shows up with a .50 cal Desert Eagle. 2 shots was enough bragging rights for me. He shot more than that. We only had about 15 minutes to shoot so another range session is in order. After a few hits on the steel target the .50 was actually cracking the metal.

Why not make the 1911 type but make it a worth while model from Les Bear. Might stretch that 2000 dollar limit. The best of the best. Some thing to pass on to a son or daughter and then to a grandson over time.

Actually I have a Savage .22 410 over under rifle and a 12 g pump shotgun (Wards Western Field) that was left to me by my grandpa. I did not include it in the list since it was given to me and not purchased by myself so yes... I do have a .22 which I enjoy shooting outside with CB rounds. The CB rounds have such a ridiculous recoil ;)
