Greetings all,
I recently came into possession of a Marlin 12 ga. magnum model 120 shotgun. The original barrel is a 28 in. full chokeand is chambered for 2-3/4 and 3 in shotshells. Apparently the previous owner fired some extra hot(too hot I'd say) handloads through it and "bubbled" the tube. I am not sure of the exact circumstances which created this situation.
All I can say is the barrel is seriously damaged. I am looking for help to find a new or replacement barrel for this old jewel. It was originally put into service by a friend's grandfather. If anyone knows of a source or a link to help me with this dilemma, please post or reach me by pm. I would also be interested in any information or knowledge any of you shotgunners have or know about concerning this nice old piece.
All of your help is greatly appreciated.
Regards and Happy Holidays,
Doug
