Just used it to search for .450 Bushmaster and returned 3 pages of results. I like the layout and it is super easy to use. I found the Hornady Black ammo for $21.55 a box. Unfortunately the one retailer I selected (lowestammo.com) and added 2 boxes of ammo with wanted $20 for shipping, which puts it higher than local prices at $29.95 a box.
But then I selected another retailer (Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore) and ordered two boxes at $22.53 each and it was $7.99 shipping. Reasonable. So I went to order it and it wanted me to create an account, which I attempted, but it timed out twice and I kept getting error messages. So, they lost a sale.
I then went to a third retailer, LAX Ammo, which listed the ammo at $21.93 a box and added it to my cart, then went to check out and it was $20 shipping.
I don't think online ammo sales are for me. I wanted a couple of boxes of factory ammo for my woods carbine, that I would shoot, then reload the cases. I don't need a case of .450 Bushmaster and I don't need a case of 9mm.
I gave up after three misses and 45 minutes of wasted time. But I did like the layout and it loaded fast. But there is no such thing as a free lunch when it comes to buying ammo and I have yet to find a deal online worth the hassle and shipping costs.
Thanks for the kind words. I agree with you that online ammo is tough these days especially when not purchasing a case and so many different shipping circumstances amongst retailers.
