So I received an email the other day from Charter Arms announcing three new models that they have coming.

Normally I would not be inclined to share such information but I thought the color/finish/grip choices were odd and I was curious if anyone here liked them.

Also one of the three models seems to be their response to the Taurus red dot ready revolvers and I was curious what everyone thought of them as well.

Personally I have no interest in any of these as none of them are in a caliber I care about, a capacity I want, nor a barrel length that I prefer. Just felt like sharing.

Adding a rail is fine for those so inclined.

The red revolver is one of the most hideous things I've seen. Pairing it with pearl grips is bizarre and doesn't seem to have a historical antecedent that I know. The only aesthetic reasoning I can come up with is that it might match someone's finger nail polish. Also, the red is vaguely unnatural to me, and would make me worry that someone might consider it an inert training device by mistake.

CA has had unique colors for revolver frames for quite a while: pink, gold, lavender purple, etc. Maybe there is a segment of the shooting world who wants something other than black, silver-stainless, FDE or camo, but none of the CA guns have struck my fancy enough to ever go out and buy one.

If anyone has one let us know what you think of it.

Stay safe.

Did you see the green one? At least red with high polish and pearly grips kind of goes together but green with high polish pearly grips makes no sense to me…. I could see some females liking the red one. Who is the target market for shiny, pearly and green?
