Ah, more money to be spent after Christmas. Of course, they had in-stock a set of stabilized Amboyna burl cut for an ambi safety and bobtail.

As I said before, the Executive Carry is my favorite ever EB pistol -- clean lines, no FCS, discreetly tasteful rollmarks, impeccably blued (finely checkered MSH on a bobtail makes all the difference, too), the perfect incarnation of a Commander sized 1911.

Wow, those are beautiful and that is a great looking 1911!

All business and beauty combined into one; the quintessential 1911.

Beautiful--my guess was burl amboyna.
I bought a set of exactly that from a guy in Sweden or Norway (Hakan Pek) about 15 years ago. I think they cost me $120 or so, and they are too damn pretty to put on a carry gun (which is what my 1911s are).
So the grips sit in my safe.
To my eyes, those would look best on a stainless 1911, and the only one I have is a bobtail. I don't want to mess those grips up.
Guess I need to buy one more 1911 to mount the grips. Hope the wife doesn't skin me alive LOL.
