Hi guys I'm new to the forum and figured that I'd post a photo of my newly built ar15, living in ny I had a tough choice to make on whether i wanted a featureless AR with detachable mag, or fixed mag and have the features that I wanted, I had a bad accident Valentine's day of 2017 that forced me to sell most of my rifles so now I'm slowly working on building my cabinet back up. My AR 15 has a 16 inch m lock freedom upper in 556, anderson lower with aero parts kit and the jb enterprise enhanced reliability and lighter spring kit, mag pull moe carbine stock, and aero precision scope mount that will be getting a nikon p223 3-9 or bushnell AR 3-9 scope, ideally within the next month I would like to have another upper in 224 valkyrie with the 3-9 or 4-12 scope and have a red dot or strict iron sights on my current upper. I am running a fixed mag set up and bear flag defense bf10 mag loaders which are pricey but sweet

I live in the lake placid area but I'm from Watertown, I'm seriously considering a 224 valkyrie upper but I think for now I'm going to purchase a reloading kit. Ammo and stockup on some bf-10s
i am by middletown in orange co. most of my semi auto builds are delayed because of cuomo. if this new bill gets in were all screwed. what reloading kit are you thinking, are you new at it?.

Yes I am, my friend said the lee challenger is a great way to start off, If on a budget hes had his press for a rather long time, so I figure to dip my feet in its probably a good start

We'll see how it shoots, as seeing how in primarily a plinker and coyote hunter I'm leaning more towards finishing it properly, and maybe a ruger American heavy barrel in 6.5 grendel

Welcome to the forum. Lake placid is a nice area. I've climbed Mt Marcy and hiked high peaks region when I was younger. I too got my first Ar lower but haven't completed it yet.
Been reloading rifle and pistol cartridges since 1985 and shotgun since 1982. I started with an rcbs special 2 and picked stuff up a piece at a time.

I started out with a Lee Anniversary Kit which included the Challenger press. I still use it for rifle loads 20 years later. Believe the Anniversary Kit was $70 when I bought it

Thanks guys, sorry I've been AWOL. Broke my phone and busy making snow at the mountain, currently I just have a bushnell 4-12 on it a buddy is letting me use but my 3-9 bushnell ar scope should be here monday, I've decided my next build is an aero precision power with hera cqr stock and jb spring kit with milspec trigger my upper is going to be a 20 inch bear creek in 6.5 grendel. Here's my ar after a day of shooting when it warmed up all cleaned I am managing about 1.5-2"@ 100 regularly with federal American eagle and I imagine as it breaks in it'll get better when I do my part
