I went so many times on Hodgdon load data website https://hodgdonreloading.com/ ; after selecting caliber, easy to pick any bullet, any powder, and every load has pressure listed. It was my No. 1 reference!

This morning I opened again Hodgdon load data website and I saw it was changed. OK, I said, let go and see how it works now; checked "Pistol", "41 Remington Magnum", selected 265 grains bullet, but when I checked "Hodgdon" under "Manufacturer", all other manufacturers disappeared. Then I checked "H4227" and all other powders disappeared.!?

So, instead of having at least for one bullet all manufacturers and their powders, so data could be compared side by side, I've got for one bullet one single line for H4227!

I tried to get more powders for at least 265 bullet, but no luck, system kicked me at the beginning. Am I doing something wrong?

If that is the only way new website works, I don't like it a bit! IMHO old system was far more superior and useful.

You have to pick a caliber, but if you leave any of the other options blank it will give you all the options. I just tried it with 45acp, and picked Hodgdon for the powder and left bullet weight and powder blank, and it gave me a lot of loads.

I'm not thrilled with it, but it works very similarly to the old site, believe it or not. The less boxes you check, the more information you will get.

For what it's worth, the more esoteric the load... and a 265grn .41 bullet is esoteric... the less data you are going to find on a site like Hodgdon's.

Just in passing... I have a spreadsheet of .41 handloads I pulled down from Cast Bullets or somewhere some time ago, which includes some heavy data. If you are interested, PM me.

Love Hodgdon's database. The new interface is IMHO better than the old one. I primarily use Hodgdon's family of powders simply due to that massive database.

Just out of curiosity, and only using 9mm as my search criteria:

That's the way the old site worked as well... and it likely uses the very same database, just a different interface with the new site. The more you narrow down your requirements, the less data that will be available. Same-same.

One option that went away a couple of years ago was a way to find all the calibers for a given powder, but I just checked and it is possible to that again.

Select a caliber, then select the powder of interest, then go back and un-select the caliber. Only the calibers appropriate for that powder are now listed.

The new interface is optimized for wide screen. In order to use it on a tablet or smartphone you have to rotate your device to wide view. That’s kinda annoying and a step backwards but not really all that terrible. It’s probably still in development anyway. I’ll check it out later in the month for updates. I hope they make it mobile compatible again.

There is a the top of the page just below the direction a [Filter by Powder] option and you can do that from the start.

:what: :rofl:

Is the new site better or worse? Eh, I dunno. Perhaps it's a bit more flashy, but it also has a familiar feel.,

So, before I pick what I want, and get what I want. Now, I don't pick anything, and got everything. Sorry, I cannot call this a "progress" even in my wildest dreams! Looks to me that system is badly flawed.

Hope that somebody from Hodgdon reads this...

I hadn't been on it in some time, this thread prompted me to look.
As others have said, it's pretty much the same with new window dressing.
I've always been able to select just a cartridge and get all the loads for it.
Or select a cartridge and a bullet and powder and get that load.
Or in between

They almost have cornered the market. Bigger is always bigger, right? Wasn't like this the other night. Told me to hold my phone sideways. Is that like handguns on TV

Or in between
9mm Luger + 124 gr + IMR + SR 7625 ---> 1 load
9mm Luger + 124 gr ----------------------> 122 loads
9mm Luger + no bullet + Win +231 -----> 17 loads
etc.

Told me to hold my phone sideways. Is that like handguns on TV
"For the best mobile experience please turn phone sideways". They just haven't fully enabled the mobile browser settings. You can always force the desktop version in your browser and use your finger to move around, in most mobile browsers anyway.

I don't like it because it doesn't list any of the IMR powders that I use a lot of.
I have been using IMR 4227 for reloading 7.62x39 for years & now it doesn't even list it.

Are you sure? I just switch to [Filter by Powder] and there are 20 different IMR powders listed including 4227. I like 4227 in my 300 BO subsonic plinking load.

"For the best mobile experience please turn phone sideways".

Landscape view isn’t really necessary if using a iPad or other tablet.
Nor is it when you download the PDF to your phone because they stripped-out the “Availability” column. Tip: with the PDF sent to your mobile device, you can edit the file with your own notes and data.
