Like the rig! Always liked George Lawrence Co. holsters, especially the #120. Nice, straightforward designs made from quality leather.

Nice pancake style holster for your Colt 1911 WW1 Belleau Wood Commemorative.
I also like the ammo pouch. I cannot understand why people in this day and age use belt loops.
Ammo manufacturers sell cartridges packed in plastic or Styrofoam blocks. For loose ammo, I cut the blocks to fit the pouch and glue them inside the pouch. That holds them nicely.I had a problem with mine coming open. Cartridge fit is loose enough that cartridges will fall out. Went back to belt slide with loops.
You might put those cartridges in a speed strip, then in the pouch...as a last resort.?I had a problem with mine coming open. Cartridge fit is loose enough that cartridges will fall out. Went back to belt slide with loops.

I would try putting those cartridges in a speed strip before i gave up on that fine looking ammo pouch.Cartridge fit is loose enough that cartridges will fall out.

You notice I'm carrying a Single Action? A speed strip is useless.

No, not if your purpose is to keep your ammo together to keep if from falling out of the pouch. But as I said, my approach is to cut an ammo carton block to fit and glue it in the pouch. You notice I'm carrying a Single Action? A speed strip is useless.
