I recently found out about a talented knifemaker named Justin Miller whose business is called Running Man Forge. I have no business affiliation with him other than ordering a custom knife build and thought you knife nuts might be interested in this post. The guy is humble, helpful and super-easy to work with. He is sending me photos of the knife as he progresses through the build so I will share here as I get them.

Here is the blade after heat treat. His remark was "Can't wait to see the hamon on this one." Me neither!

Sweet, would you please post the pictures to keep us up to date on the progress? And what did you ask him to build for you? And thanks.

Yeah, I don't understand the attraction of leaving the forging marks on.

Me too.....

Makes it harder to clean........

Kudos to any one that can work with ironwood. That stuff is hard.

And vary toxic make sure to wear a good respirator.

Ironwood is one of my favorite handle materials though and certainly not the hardest to work with. Plus it's very stable for a natural material.

Very nicely done; especially the Ironwood scales! I agree with Valkman: needs a leather sheath instead of one made out of Kydex.
