Hey y’all,

Been using the info on this forum for many years while reloading and found everyone here to be very informative and helpful, so figured I’d finally go on and join!

My name is Matt, I’m in Virginia. I was in law enforcement for about 11 years. My focus was on DUI and drug enforcement throughout the career and now I’m a Medicare insurance agent. Talk about a real 180 lol. 3 kids, all girls. Glad to be home at night and there for them.

Always had a love for firearms and have been reloading since 2009. I don’t go over fancy with anything. Just follow the books, stay inside the tolerances and research other people’s preferences and try that out and see how it works for me. I try to stay pretty sensible.

I have a LEE turret press as well as a LEE single stage for the rifle calibers and am currently developing a 308 load for my dad using Barnes 150gr ttsx and varget.

Thank y’all for everything so far!

Editing to add a picture of the awesome bench my Dad made for my 34th birthday

Hello to all the new members I'm a new old member, been lurking around for a few years forgot username and password so I decided to rejoin with a new name 40WHAT , live in north Texas ,Decatur area, been interested in firearms since 1973, just getting interested in reloading , trying to make some low recoil loads for my 308 and 3030 ,the 308 kicks like a mule with factory loads, been paying close attention to the hand loading section but enjoy reading all the posts in the other sections too, out here in the county we're always seeing deer don't hunt them except with my car, hit 3 since I've lived here. Like shooting pistols rifles and shotguns, haven't shot in awhile need to get down in bottom as some of my relatives say and do some shooting . gathering of supplies to start reloading using my lee hand press. See y'all later

Hello from Germany,
I am a new member here, but not new to firearms at all. I have been shooting since I was a teen, about 40ish years ago. Contrary to popular believe, yes we Germans have guns and are allowed to shoot :)
I am former military, recon to be a bit more percise. Spend some time in the US and went to some US Army schools. My passion is long range shooting, that's what I did in the army as well. I am blessed to have access to a military range where I can shoot up to 1500m. I also shoot IPSC, 3gun as well as target shooting for competition, both handgun and rifle. Once in a while I get a muzzleloader out and anger the folks at the range with some sulfur in the air. Most of my ammo, I make myself due to high volume or percision.

My wife, she is American is ready to retire soon and we are looking to move to the US, somewhere south. So soon I will have to deal with the ATF about importing guns into the US :)

Welcome to The High Road, LV21! It's always good to hear from kindred spirits, wherever they are currently living. You will find good information in the Rifle Country section, as well as Handloading and Competition sections. Please review the THR primer in the General Gun Discussions section, and thank you for the introduction. We hope you will enjoy your time with us.

Welcome to THR! The South is the best... lol.
Make it Florida. :D

Edit: Don't forget to bring your HK P8!

Thank you for the hint!
Not a problem, it's what we do here at THR, be helpful.
Polaris handles a bunch of the transactions to get thing to and from Finnish Brutality by folks coming from the States
Once moved here, I suspect you will find it far less complicated than in dear old Germany.
And, that your European habits will stand you in good stead, and make you a more hospitable shooter than many of the natives.

Welcome and hello!

There are a lot of very knowledgeable people who are regularly in the reloading forum discussions. If you have questions about stuff they are the ones who will help you find the answers you need.

Stay safe.
