Hello everyone,
I live in Croatia, I work in mechanical engineering, my hobby is shooting rifles and pistols at competitions. I started loading ammunition for my own needs. I hope my English is understandable enough.
Hello from Oklahoma, USA! Glad to see other countries represented here! Welcome!

Hello from NC. Family stuff and my leatherwork business has kept me pretty busy so i havent been on here in couple years so thought id re introduce myself. My names David and i allways enjoyed reading through this forum. Allways tons of great info and good people here so im glad to be back. Hopefully i can be an asset to the great conversations here. My firearm preferences are mostly older stuff and i like odd shooters. I also have a hoarding problem with old hardware store single shot shotguns.

Newbie alert! :D I am new here and just checking in. I bought my Colt Delta Elite in the late '80s (pic in my sig to the left). I believe the "Ten" is the perfect caliber, and matched with the venerable 1911frame ...pretty much unbeatable. Manageable recoil considering it is equal to the .41 magnum in muzzle energy. You can even drop ELK with this beauty.

I also have a 1911 .45ACP my dad carried in WW2 ( also in picture) which is my cherished possession. It is also the very gun my dad taught me to shoot with at age 5, so it is my prize possession!

I use the "Ten" as my defensive handgun and not the .45, which I can't risk getting lost in a police evidence room if I had need to use it in defense. It is the only possession I wanted from my dad when he passed in 1999.

Anyhoo ...glad to be here and I hope to contribute here whenever possible. I have many years of shooting and reloading experience.

Greetings, great to find this forum. I'm retired LEO living in Florida, I enjoy pistol and rifle target shooting and recently started to shoot trap.
Looking forward to shoot skeet and hone my skills on long range rifle shooting with my FN SCAR in .308
I am currently looking for the optics for that rifle.

Hi. I am a way older fella who loves handguns. Loved handguns since age 17 or so. Have quite a few, three pistols still unfired. A stroke several yrs ago slowed me way down. Was also a real heavy on knives...mostly folders. Cutting way back as could have the 2nd stroke at any time, and be outta here. Love .45 Colt in revolvers; 9mm in pistols.
Since retirement, lived here in Florida and will stay here.

@DetBrowning Welcome! I am not sure what post 12446 was about, so suspect it was misdirected and will delete. We are glad to have you with us, and hope you will find useful information here as well as supplying some of your own. @lemaymiami is also retired LEO living the dream in FL and guiding anglers. Check out the THR primer when time permits, and settle on in.

Welcome, @Sonnydaze ! You are among geriatric friends on this board. There is plenty of wisdom born of experience here, and we will be happy to add yours to the knowledge base. THR primer thread gives you a snapshot of the board culture, and you should have fun in the handguns, revolver and autoloader sections.

I am not at my best. Had a ischial stroke 3.5 yrs ago. Balance is crap and left side weakness. Fell backward in garage last Sat and wife found me with my head and shoulders under the car. The wrong way to get a micro-meal out of a garage freezer.
Short story: had a brain bleed...fell again as soon as she got me into the house; called 911 and saved my life.
Now in rehab facility for a few wks and then home again.
Thanks all for nice wishes.
Don
