New Mossberg

I went to the gunshop to get my Marlin 120 fixed. The guy asks me if I want to see another shotgun they have in the back. He comes out with a Mossberg (not sure of the model number) 12 guage w/ a synthetic stock and two barrels. (28 and 18"). Well, for $175 I bought it. Do you think thats a good deal? Anything I need to know about this gun? Thanks...

I grew up in Georgia and MANY a whitetail were taken by a shotgun while creeping through a swamp or clearcut. Shotguns aren't only for dove, squirrels, rabbits, and ducks. They call it Buckshot for a reason.
hmmmm....come to think of it, after moving to Colorado and seeing an elk for the first time, maybe Georgia whitetails ARE small game.
just my 2 cents. By the way, GREAT deal on the SG. I own a couple of this brand. A 500 and an 835. Both are great shooters. Congrats!

Intelguy that was a joke between Falcon and me from another forum. Much of my own deer hunting has been with shotgun and slugs on Fort Knox military reservation where no rifles allowed.
