AG..
The S/N on the gun is EMP 3071. I guess that's close enough to 2600. I sure hope I can get it to shoot because I like the look and feel of the gun...
He already has one.. lol
But, it's true what others have said about 300 rounds, aprox, give or take, to break her in. But IF your trigger has creep and is not a light, sharp, crisp, breaking trigger with no creep, none, as is my trigger (I love it), then, IF I was you, I'd get thru 300-500 9mm 115gr FMJ rounds as fast as possible, first, to see if the jams stop. But IF the trigger does not get better then I'd call SA and they will issue you a Warranty ID number and pay for it to be shipped to them to fix the feed ramp, the trigger, whatever you list as wrong, and they will DO-IT.. and it should only take 2 weeks..
They're friendly, proud, gun people.. that I know.
One other thing: Like any 1911, big or small, timing is the KEY, and they all like to run WET/well oiled on the rails and rail guides, along with making sure your mags are clean internally, along with making sure the followers are smooth with no burs on them..
I use a product called EEZOX for the feed ramp and mags interior walls, its a synthetic lubricator, and *light gun cleaner in one, but it bonds to the metal pours making metal to metal contact slippery, all directions on can..
But do not use it only, on the rails and guides, as I do my light cleaning with it there, but after letting it sit and bond, then I do a nice light swipe of it, to even it out, then apply oil over it on the rails and guides.
This may well solve all your problems except the trigger creep issue, and like I said, IF after 300 rounds or more, jams don't clear up, and trigger, send her in and wait 2 weeks, you'll be glad you did, as they are GREAT guns, as most in here are telling ya, including me..
Oh, mine is 60+ above the 2600 mark, and when I called, with a few JHP jam issues, that is what they told me about the lower than 2600 models, but above 2600, they got the feed ramp angle fixed, and mine works fine with either 124gr or 135gr JHP's.. Just keep her clean and well oiled..
LaST thought, I think part of the feed problems is with the soft mag springs, as you know, they are easy to load up 9 rounds and, my gun now has some FMJ 1400 rounds without any feed issues, been 100%, and I got my first FMJ 115gr last round failure to feed the other day out of one mag, so I think getting a slightly stiffer/stronger mag spring/s, up the road, should also be on your list, as I'm getting rdy to swap out all 3 of mine.. fyi.
