I purchased 2 nfa items a few years back and moved homes since, the paperwork still says my old address and I never notified them that I moved. I stayed in the same state and only moved into a different town about 15 minutes away. Currently I am selling said NFA items and am wondering if it will present a problem when selling and I put my new address on the paper and it doesn't match up to the old address.
If I do need to notify of them of my move before I sell it, how do I go about it? It's a mg and suppressor

thanks

The NFA requires you to file a Form 5320.20 before you change the permanent location (assuming interstate transfer from one state to another) and receive approval first for the machinegun (and SBRs, SBSs). There is no requirement to notify for suppressors.

The back of your Form 1/Form 4 tells you to notify ATF if the machinegun, SBR, or SBS changes address intrastate; but doesn't specify a timeframe.

For what it is worth, I just had the same situation with a Form 4 on a suppressor. ATF didn't say anything about the suppressor.
