Transfer goes through, the guy comes back a denied, chances are, I'm hosed. Someone has to take the blame, and sh** flows downhill.
Paranoia isn't a valid business practice. Where have you seen anything from BATFE saying a dealer will be accountable if a denial comes back after the three business days? The law allows the transfer to proceed at that point, and unless you have a valid contractual reason to stop the deal, you really have no basis to refuse. Esp. if money has already been paid.
I want dealers to abide by the law, but I don't want them to add new restrictions that aren't already there.
