I have been looking as some posts and what exactly are you talking about when you say mall ninja, or pizza ninja or airsoft ninja I dont get it?

Someone who thinks they have or tell people they have very high level of skills, fitness, etc., when they don't. For instance, someone who knows all about firearms because they have videogames

Holy Crap! That link to Gecko and Specops is too crazy! So damn funny. Who do they think they're kidding? Who are those nutters?

Oh lawd, I can imagine where this this thread will end up. :D

The sad thing is, there are a lot of people working security in the world...

and you will never look at them the same again.

I know I don't.

I think I had to read that mall ninja story like 5 times!:D that was some of the funniest s@#$ I have ever heard. thanks for all the feedback lets keep the legend of gecko ninja alive!:D

One of our local mall security crew was wearing a balaclava under his stetson this last Christmas season when he was working out in the parking lot. I could not help but laugh out loud. I was not really trying to make fun of him, but I don't think he was a member of this board because his eyes glazed over in anger while he stared as I walked by. I felt like I was living a bad Shotgun News advertisment.

I would have to say that all that Gecko stuff and the other guy is a well crafted and pretty funny gag.

I had heard of Gecko, he was before my time, but I just flipped through that link, and.....damn. Wow. What can one say?

When I was a teenager, I ordered the U.S. Cav catalogs, and saw everything that was "Genuine Issue", and I was SO disappointed when I actually went into the army, and not only did I not get issued all of that stuff, no one else seemed to know or care about it. They had not taken it upon themselves to study the minutae of such things, they actually only knew what the army had told them about their gear. Mindboggling, I know.

I know a kid, well, I guess he's about 19 now, the son of a hunting buddy, and he's obsessed with anything that the marines have, do, or use. Not a bad kid, smart enough to find his butt with less than two hands, and tougher than me, he could survive at least one stretch in the marines. But he had a special modernized Kabar knife, (with a .....advanced sharpening system,) issue boots, underwear, .308 rounds loaded to the exact spec of marine snipers, (failing to understand that BTHP match bullets do NOT make good hunting rounds,) and all he would talk about was his marine reserve friends he played paintball with, and how much of their life he had soaked up. When he had a break in the conversation, I told him that he was going to have a few bubbles busted. The way the military, police, and civilians do things are different, and there are good reasons why. Real 'operators' worry a lot less about their gear than he does, and when (if) he does actually join, his NCOs won't give an overweight rodent's butt how much he knows about gear if he can't do the job with the bare minimum of what he's issued. Knowing this stuff doesn't make you cool. It makes you a geek.

He only uses quality stuff, like Hipoint carbines, Lorcin25s, SW3 (whatever that is)...

I couldnt read it all, but I would say that kid has some serious paranoia accompanied by delusional visions in his tiny head.

Probably about 25-31 yrs old IMHO.

I have a friend that is an utter mall ninja. The only problem for him is that he's overweight and drinks and smokes too much, so he has to resort to bragging about his friend that was in the Coast Guard.

He has "the Marine papers at home all filled out ready to send off whenever" he wants though...

Guy can't shoot worth a damn, he'll flash every living thing within 100 yards with his muzzle the second he touches a gun, and his finger tends to live hovering around inside the triggerguard. Don't bother correcting him though, he's been "shooting guns since he was old enough to lift one". :barf:

Epic failure.

Kinda related... I just watched one of the "fight back" shows in Tru-TV... and it was thre guys with machetes (Spelling?) attacking an armored car driver in England. They do not cary firearms in England, EVEN doing armoed car duty.

Our MALL COPS are better armed then thier armored car gaurds.

ha!

CAPNMAC - " Hey, that thing is missing its "tac" sling . . . "

No, he has it cleverly concealed, as it should be.

Wouldn't want to stand out in a crowd would ya?? :)
