What good is a handgun you can't buy ammo for??? All the hype and the ammo manufacturers didn't deliver which IMO had a lot to do with the .327 Magnum not succeeding. It's a great idea and that cartridge is finally what the 32 H&R Magnum was supposed to be but for the weak H&R revolvers of that time. Another reason for the failure, it was released in the wrong platform. Like said above, a Carbine and SA revolver is probably a much better platform for that cartridge. Back in the day the 32-20 was very popular and I feel the .327 Magnum could have been too.
Bad decisions killed that cartridge, not the cartridge itself. (IMO of course)
A friend of mine had the S&W version in this caliber. I shot it, and liked it enough, but not enough to buy it from him when he was selling it. I think it would be a good field gun, and I like the caliber, and reload, so ammo wouldn't be an issue.
I was just going to post the same thing. Thought I'd wander around the site during lunch and saw it was gone. I never heard much buzz about the round so I am not surprised.
