I have started loading these in my home defense shotgun. I have found them to be very pleasant to shoot, they hold one more round than 2 3/4" shells and they are completely reliable in my mossberg 500. I think they offer a great home defense round alternative to the recoil sensitive. My sister-in-law has no problem shooting them and actually enjoys going shooting with them. Why are they not more popular? I am wondering why doesn't Noble/Centurion offer them in other shot sizes such as 9 #1 buck. or 16 #4 buck? Maybe offer some birdshot as well. I mean there seem to be a pretty good yet untapped market for this stuff. I know they have light recoiling loads out there but I haven't found any that have as been as light as these mini buckshot shells.

Now I am unsure about popularity and offerings, but I figured I'd offer a correction. The 2 1/4" Nobelsport ammo actually has 6 pellets in the 00 buck offering, so that is typically 2 to 3 pellets less than your standard 00 buckshot load in the 2 3/4".

Cabela's offers this load in their Herter's line, but loaded shell is little longer because their Italian loads use plastic disc cover instead of star crimp as found in Noble Sport shells. I'm pretty sure the ballistics are the same. The Herter's 10 pack is less expensive to buy. They also offer nice large ball or two ball load.
