Somehow I lost one of my C buffers on a recent trip in which I small game hunting with a AR57 upper (which uses a proprietary buffer). Did not get a rabbit but I did get a 'yote.

I found some online for $6 and ordered 3. I ruined one attempting to open it up (I run empty buffers in my adjustable gas guns). It was thin aluminum around an inner plastic tube and the bumper was glued in (no drift pin). I ended up crushing it attempting to hold the tube with channel locks. It was only 0.1 oz light (larger steel weights?)

A few years ago I ordered an H2 buffer. The weight was right but when I opened it up I found 3 steel weights instead of the expected 1 steel and 2 tungsten. I was puzzled until I figured out the body was made of steel. I'm holding onto in case I ever want to make a super-heavy.

I'm still looking for an inexpensive source for C buffers that are the real thing. I want to replace my C as well as have H1,2,3 in my range bag just in case.
