thank you! i am glad you like the mold! i was just sick and tired of having ammunition be so expensive. they really should make ammo cheaper than $20 for 500 BBs. i like conicals better than round balls anyway. plus i can recycle my old lead! i made this before i discovered you could roll down pellets to .17 caliber. i think the pellet trick works pretty darn good! i can shoot a pellet at plinking/pest control velocities with 4 paper caps, 1 plastic cap as the primer, and a pellet. that load costs less than a cent per shot. plus they sound like a noisy CO2 airgun and emit the amount of smoke you wold get from lighting a match. perfect!

thank you! i am a huge fan of small caliber cap and ball guns, especially derringers and relatively uncommon guns. i figure if i am buying them i might as well make helpful videos reviewing them! being only one video of a North American Arms super companion on youtube i find that a bit disappointing. so i think i will change that, i will probably make a video on how to clean it, what the best load is, sight modifications to enhance accuracy, and of course safety. i think i will make a video of size comparison and how to hold it best. i wish i could find a good picture that demonstrates the size of this gun for i haven't found any good ones.

My North American Arms Limited Edition, matching serial number, set of Mini and Super Companion cap and ball revolvers were produced with fluted cylinders, pearlite grips, and gold highlights.

I'm excited about the two newer offerings. The earl and the top break ranger. I'm waiting for them to produce a top break version of the earl in 22mag. I really would like one of those.

My son bought this used NAA Mini .22 mag. for $129 w/tax. It fits inside of an Iphone sport case that can be worn on the arm when jogging, or inside of a folding knife sheath that can either be worn on the belt or put in a pocket.
This barrel is 1 1/8".

Hopefully this isn't off topic but, here in NE we can open carry legally so even something this small would need to be carried in a vissible holster in public unless one has a concealed carry permit. Feedback from someone with more knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks,

...five shooter, but yeah. When SOME of us are armed, thugs can never feel safe mugging someone, because they'll never know when thier ''victim'' will become the victor.

haha! i think my sidearm can be faster than the Oprah Winfrey's approved Cellular phone and rape whistle blowing self defense. i am no girly wuss, i am a man. i believe firmly in gunpowder and lead self defense if your life depends on it. that is why i am getting this. it can be carried in half cock, it has 5 shots of .22 magnum instead of 1 in .17 cap and ball, and i can slip it into my jacket pocket when i go backpacking or hiking to provide a little peace of mind. and what i like best about it is that big brother considers it to be a toy because it is black powder even though i can load it with Bullseye smokeless pistol powder.

I don't think you need to risk using Bullseye. FFFFG Swiss will go through 3/4 inch plywood at 15 yards in my Super Companion. With those results I did not bother trying smokeless and risk grenading.

+ 1 on the 4F, and I get really good results with 3f Triple Seven [10% to 15% hotter than black powder] no need to go mucking about with smokeless.

i don't know if i will be able to get black powder or BP substitutes in California, however i might get smokeless if i am unable to get anything else. if all else fails i can make my own 4F, it burns really, really fast. too fast for fuses even. but it works well in firecrackers and i think it should work for this. however i might be able to go to Nevada and hit Cabelas up for some triple 7 pistol powder sometime. although i think smokeless burns cleaner, triple 7 is definitely worth a try!

it's my birthday today and i might get some birthday cash to buy one of these guns! i am starting to like the LR version a lot and i am still having trouble deciding between the companion and the super companion, however knowing that i would like the accuracy, the fact that it is much bigger than the other one, the power as well as the ability to use Buslleye i will probably get the magnum. although it is a close call! haha!

Happy birthday. Even here in California, you can get Triple Seven. They even have it in the Sporting Goods section of CVS, the store formerly known as Longs Drugs.Get the three F ...

CVS? as in the place where you buy groceries? the coolest thing i have seen in there was a zippo lighter, but i might be able to find one that has powder! by the way i got $115 for my birthday, now i only need 65 bucks because i have 30 stashed away. this is going to be one cool gun!
