Yes. This has been the general consensus. But when that leaves her with a baseball bat, I thought I'd ask The High Road for smart answers against that tactic. Some have been helpful, some condescending. That's the way of the web. I appreciate The Cornered Cat recommendation. I'm a quarter into it myself.

Good for you for trying. While I can see why many made the suggestions they made, they also, are not in the situation. Understand that it is hard to project oneself into a situation you don't know. Remember also, the written word hides a lot of meaning, not that there aren't some Hemingway's around here. Most of us aren't.
