So, the other day, I went in with great excitement to purchase my first gun. Everything was in perfect order. I had my GC, AFL, CPL, all in hand, and then boom, denied by NISC. I could not believe it. I examined all the federally prohibitive criteria, and non apply to me. My last big offense was a speeding ticket 11 years ago.
Needless to say, it as a very embarrasing experience.
I waited this long, and what happened. If there was a problem, why would they issue me an AFL, followed by a CPL? Both times I had to submit fingerprints for the FBI background check, not to mention the gazillion times I've been fingerprinted before I received my Green Card. Bottom line, my background and record is about as clean as can be.
I really hope this is some sort of a clerical mix-up. Any idea what else could be happening here? I would appreciate some insight as I pursue an appeal.
