I'm imagining pointing this hypocrasy out to my left-wing friends, and I can't see them getting it. I've had many gun-rights discussions with them, and their take is usually that your average joe is crazy and homicidal, and keeping guns out of average joe's hands is a good thing. They really don't see anything wrong with using the tools they would deny us, as long as those tools remain in the hands of the "proper authorities."

That said, B.O. really does have good reason to be concerned about his safety. I laud his efforts to protect himself using the best tools available, and I encourage him to respect the rights of those he would seek to represent, so that they might do the same.

A friend of mine is currently reading Osama's (er, Barack Hussein Obama's) autobiography. So far, all my friend can say is that Obama seems like a "simpleton"! Supposedly, one chapter in his book is totally focused upon travelling. Obama had only flown "coach" class before he became a Senator, and he was awestruck when he finally flew "first class". Then, another Senator told Obama that one of the MANY "special interest groups" would allow him free access to private jet travel! From what my friend said, Obama sounded like a little boy in a candy store when he described his first private jet travel.

I'm sure that Obama is anti-gun, but apparently he is NOT anti-tobacco! He is supposedly a "chain" smoker, and that is by his own account! No big thing, unless he becomes "Gore-like" against smoking and tobacco products (Gore's pampered world was afforded him by his daddy's tobacco money!)

Lastly, in keeping with this thread, if Obama "fears" for his safety so much, then he should go ahead and make his candidacy for the Presidency official. After he does so, Secret Service protection will be given to him AND his family! Of course, maybe the "simpleton" didn't know that! Oh, and I will NEVER make fun of his HUGE audio-sensory body parts on the sides of his head!

I grant you, your conclusions can be drawn about DesertShooter's post--but they do not follow as the only conclusions.

Keep in mind that he did NOT say what you are attributing to him--that is what you read it as. Your opinion of his comments is the result of your interpretation, for you to own.

Where did he call him a negro? I agree that he is an idiot, too young, act's like a kid and a hundred other things that make him a poor choice. If using his middle name of Hussein help discredit him or hurts his chances, I say use it. Oh yea, is negro a bad word or something?
